Football in Suits Logistics

Click here to see a spreadsheet of everybody's availability for football in suits based on comments in the previous football post. Place any corrections in the comments section and I will update the spreadsheet. Once we think the spreadsheet is correct we can either vote or let Tony make an executive decision.

  1. Am I not included for a reason? I'll get you Holmes, the first time you get the ball BOOM! Eight year comatose TEN YEAR COMATOSE! Even if you're on my team!

The 22nd in the afternoon looks like the best option to me. The only guy who can't come has 'boycotted the blog'. Any opposed?

  2. My omission is duly noted and corrected. I second Tony's motion.

Anybody know if other past participants are around? Little Chams, Little Duerden and Little Padeken?

  3. Could we narrow down "in the afternoon" a little? You know, just for me?

I can definitely make the 22nd work, but need to start the lobbying as soon as possible.

  4. this is ollerton (can't remember my password again):

looks like the 23rd you get chambers, but loose ollerton...tough choice, but i'm willing to take the hit - since I'd probably get my face smashed again anyway...like at the all-night party senior year over that dumb "bone-shaker".

  5. Not wanting to land myself in any type of trouble with any of the Chambers klan; let me clarify my previous accusation.

Chamber's boycott is not of his own doing; his current employer has blocked all blogs and he doesn't have a computer at home.

  6. This is Kevin. I'm officially lifting the boycott (I was able to wander down to the nearest public library). If we are voting, I vote for the 23rd. I'll be out of town on the 22nd, but if you pansies decide on the 22nd that's fine. Are we going to have some sort of get together with all the wives and childrens?

  7. Putting in my two cents, I'd like to have both Kevin AND Andy play, and either day works for me, but the 23rd is easier. Not as much responsibility at work, can play earlier, and so forth.

"The Afternoon" I think should be around 2 (so I can get off work) if we play on the 22nd or around 1 on the 23rd.

I'd like to have some pre-game drills to warm up and see what kind of shape we're all in. Also, does anyone own a football?

  8. As the spreadsheet indicates I'm good to go either day. So do we also want to do some type of get together in addition to football, you know a family type gathering. Maybe we could plan a really cool party but only the winning team's invited while the losing team has to spend the evening standing waist deep in Utah Lake.

  9. My new cleats will arrive in the mail on Monday and I'm going to the cleaners after this post to pick up my suit. I'm good to go Monday or Tuesday anytime after 11 am.

  10. Sounds like the 23rd may be best after all.

Maybe we could do a get together the evening of the 22nd and football during the afternoon on the 23rd. If that doesn't work then we should just do everything on the 23rd to simplify planning for everybody.

I have a football, but it would be easier for one of you muffs to bring one than for me to pack it from KS--but I will do it if no one else pipes up.

So does everybody have suits? I hit the local Goodwill today and am ready. I was hoping to have a coat with tails, top hat, white gloves, monocle, pocket watch with gold chain and a cane this year but they didn't have any of that stuff at our Goodwill.

Remember how we had an opening bagpipe song by Ammon the first year so we could all get pumped? That was sweet.

Pre-game drills: that sounds good. Maybe we could have a meeting time and then an official kick off time 30 minutes later.

  11. I'm good for either the evening before or night of family get together. Let's get some feedback and set a date, time and place.

  12. The night of the 22nd might be good for a 'family get together' in that we could use it as family home evening. Something informal and easy...although I'm not sure where...

We could all meet on the 23rd at around 1:00. Warm up, size up the 5 star recruits with the... 2 stars ones, and try to divide the teams equally. Game time at around 1:30 would be great.

    This all sounding good?

  14. Oops, I posted as Taliatha. Tone, that all sounds great.

Hey, so are we playing at Lion's park, Kiwanis, Grandview, BYU Indoor Practice Facility? It probably doesn't really matter. I think Lion's park is a nice location that provides good opportunities for tackling someone into the canal.

  15. Grandview or westridge field gets my vote. I have a football I can bring, if no one else has one.

  16. If we want to return to the tradition of playing near the hallowed halls of academia, I believe there is a new lawn on the south east corner of campus where the knight magnum building used to be (just north of J-dawgs).

  17. Brandy's right, there is a big beautiful lawn there. I'll scope it out, give a full report.
